In early June 2025, I spent hours analyzing the capabilities, specifications, safety considerations, costs, and differences of various youth ATVs, which included the Yamaha Grizzly, Yamaha Raptor, and Can Am Renegade 110 Fuel Injected ATVs. Yamaha MSRP was $3599 & Can Am was $3699. I started the process assuming I wanted a Yamaha but the Can Am had am operational tail light and brake light, which was an important safety device to me for younger riders. The Yamahas had reflectors only so no operational tail/brake light. As I narrowed my selection down in the Omaha area, and leaning towards the Can Am, I could only find a 2024 Can Am. I preferred to have a 2025, just to buy the latest model year. The three dealerships within 30-mins of my area all took the MSRP of $3699 (or Yamaha for $3599) and added an approximate $400 document & assembly fee, raising the out the door price to $4099 with no room to negotiate they stated. I felt stuck but looked again on the main Yamaha brand site, and found a Yamaha in stock, but no Cam Am, at Johnsons Cycles in Freemont, NE, about 55-mins from my area. As I looked at their inventory, I saw for the first time a 2025 Polaris Outlaw 110 EFI youth ATV in blue & white, whose MSRP was $3699, the same as the Can Am, and which looked similar to a Yamaha Raptor, for sale for $3799. The Polaris was similar to the Can Am specifications and features, except it had additionally a tethered safety shutoff switch, and a 6 tall fiberglass pole with an orange flag. With the Polaris Outlaw having the tail/brake lights and the safety shutoff tether, I was very interested. I called Johnsons Cycles and spoke to Brian. He said not only did they have one in stock, but the out the door price was $3799, which was only $100 over MSRP. This was $300 cheaper than what I could purchase any of the other ATVs locally, plus it was a 2025, and had more overall safety features than the others I researched. As it was a 1-hour drive, I asked if they would hold the machine until I could arrive, which they did. The Johnsons Cycles team were very nice, informative, and expeditious with the required paperwork, and I am happy with the Polaris Outlaw 110 EFI.
